La Jolla

La Jolla, California with a dramatic coastline boasting spectacular views, it's no surprise that La Jolla is one of the most popular beach destinations in California, a gorgeous, hilly seaside community occupying seven miles of curving coastline along the Pacific Ocean within the northern San Diego city limits. La Jolla is surrounded on three sides by the Pacific Ocean and backed by the steep slopes of Mt. Soledad, evoking a Mediterranean feel.

Upscale and luxurious hotels, casual fine dining, museums and art galleries, one-of-a-kind boutiques, and many popular outdoor activities, La Jolla is the place to be. Home to the famous Torrey Pines Golf Course and The Lodge at Torrey Pines, the area also offers well-groomed hiking trails with spectacular views along the dramatic coastline as well as a glider port. The weather is conducive to all the area's many activities, and during the summer and autumn months, the surf is relatively gentle, with warm waters in the 70s.

From world-class shopping to one-of-a-kind dining, shimmering ocean views to timeless landmarks, beach culture to high culture, La Jolla lives up to its nickname as

"the jewel" of San Diego.
